Europan’s site partners have over 30 years’ experience supporting innovative development processes. Through long-standing international exchange and knowledge transfer, the potential of local development areas is explored from new and often surprising perspectives.
Platforms and public engagement
As a location partner, Europan offers you a platform for local, national and international visibility and exchange. The processes and results of Europan 19 will be presented at numerous national and international exhibitions, in publications, and in press reports. These will also be available online, as well as on television and radio. International workshops and three European forums facilitate direct exchange between stakeholders from politics, administration, culture and planning.
The profile of Europan partners
A Europan partnership requires local authorities that are committed to achieving a win-win balance between economic, environmental and social qualities through new development concepts.
Requirements – Site
Site partners provide a competition area, for which teams from across Europe develop projects.
Requirements – Theme
The locations address the theme of the respective process and set local priorities when formulating the tasks.
Requirements – Funding
The competition costs amount to €145,000 per location. These costs can be co-financed by contributions from federal and state funding. Co-financing by third parties is also possible, for example from housing associations, landowners or investors.
Requirements – Participation
Location partners commit to providing personnel. Locations are represented on local juries and participate in events.
